It’s no secret a good skincare routine is essential for the first steps to healthier looking skin. A good cleanser unblocks the pores and strips away daily dirt and grime, but let’s not forget it should also help restore moisture and leave the skin feeling clean

Oskia-Cleansing-Gel and refreshed. There have been rave reviews in the blogging community about the Oskia skincare range and in particular the vitamin packed Renaissance Cleansing Gel.

Ingredients include Pumpkin Enzymes to deep cleanse and mildly exfoliate dead skin cells away, Vitamin A, C and E to restore and protect the skin and Starflower oil, Chamomile and Rose to gently soothe. The gel is pinky in colour, rosy in smell, and almost jelly-like in texture. When warmed in the hands it quickly melts into an oil and can then be massaged into the skin. Adding a little water turns it into a milky cleanser that can be quickly buffed off with a muslin cloth or left on a little longer to reap the exfoliating and moisturising benefits.

Suitable for all skin types and for use A.M. and P.M. I find it can leave a slight oily residue but leaves the skin look clean, refreshed and glowing. The slight residue completely putme off using it for quite a while, until I ran out of my evening cleansing balm and had to use it an emergency back up! Well, safe to say my skin looked squeaky clean as it removes all traces of heavy makeup and was the perfect base of any serums, oils or moisturisers for night time use. By morning my skin was looking fresh, plump and ready for the day. This has now become my go-to evening cleanser as so far nothing will keep me away from the creamy delights of the Liz Earle Cleanser and Polish in the mornings! The only other downside I can think of is that the packaging doesn’t allow you to see how much cleanser is left, so to avoid my previous makes to running out and and searching my cupboards for everything and anything I always keep a spare. (To be on the safe side, obviously)!
